New TV Commercials Highlighting Wizard Brand of Woodworking Metal Detectors Used on The New Yankee Workshop To Air Starting In February Van Nuys, California - Wizard Industries, Inc., manufacturer of the immensely popular Wizard woodworking metal detectors, today announced the expansion of its already aggressive consumer marketing program into TV advertising. In 2000, Wizard Industries Corp. became the first metal detector manufacturer to develop specialty detectors for the woodworking market. "In today's marketplace, woodworking tool and equipment sales are driven by new technology, retailer acceptance and consumer demand," said Wizard CEO Billy Carmen. Wizard detectors have received glowing product reviews by celebrity woodworkers such as Norm Abrams of The New Yankee Workshop, Michael Holigan of Your New House, and most all of the leading woodworking publications. This quality TV and print coverage, an aggressive print media advertising campaign, and a strong internet presence have allowed woodworkers all over North America to learn about the products. The rewards for thousands of retail stores have been extremely high turnover rates for Wizard's unique tools. "The innovative line of woodworking metal detectors proved highly successful in 2001. Our TV advertising campaign will explain the benefits and cost-savings of our unique products. They are targeted at woodworking and DIY consumers nationwide," Carmen added. The 30- and 60-second spots will air nationally on The new DIY Channel, HGTV and spots in other target markets. They will also be wrapped around The New Yankee Workshop segment #1413 (to air April 6, 2002) where the Wizard detectors are used. Selected high volume retailers such as ACE Hardware, Woodcraft Supply, Eagle America, and Rockler Tools will be mentioned as stocking the Wizard line. A toll free number and Internet address will be included so that consumers can call or log on to find retailers in their geographic region. The commercials feature all three of the popular Wizard woodworking detectors, and will start to air in mid-February. "We're hitting the market hard by targeting millions of woodworkers during the prime selling season for woodworking tools," Carmen noted. "We're confident this aggressive media campaign will increase consumer demand for these proven successful products for all our retail partners."
